Double RL Store 2024
Fictional Passion Project
This project was inspired by Ralph Lauren’s Double RL line, a collection that perfectly embodies the owner's personal style and deep appreciation for cowboys, nature, and horseback riding.
With this in mind, I envisioned a small flagship/concept store, a space that functions as both a tailor and a private dressing room, offering an entirely personalized and exclusive shopping experience, where only one customer is present at a time.
The first space is designed to feel less like a traditional store and more like the entrance to a ranch in the American plains, drawing inspiration from polo paintings and the brand’s equestrian heritage. This leads to a concealed entrance, opening into a richly hued redwood changing and tailoring room, a reminder to the Victorian era of the US, offering an intimate and private atmosphere. The changing room itself is elevated by a luxurious relaxation area, a plush seating space where the customer’s closest friends can gather, transforming the moment into a shared, emotional experience. It’s reminiscent of the magical feeling of a bride stepping into a wedding dress, where the support of loved ones adds warmth, intimacy, and excitement to the moment. The atmosphere here invites laughter, conversation, and connection, turning the fitting room into a celebration of personal style and cherished bonds.

Subtle nods to horseback riding and stables are woven into the design, such as saloon-style doors for the fitting rooms, reinforcing the thematic narrative while ensuring a sense of relaxation and exclusivity.
Ultimately, this project became an opportunity for me to experiment with patterns and colors I hadn’t yet explored, allowing me to expand my design language and refine my stylistic versatility.
